Hiking Adventures.. Hidden Canyon, Zion National Park

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the month of February. Can you believe it is already Valentine's Day? This month is literally flying by.

This weekend Kody, Ellie, my mother in law and I hiked Hidden Canyon at Zion National Park. It was BEAUTIFUL! The trail was all concrete which made it nice for Ellie. Ellie wanted to be a big girl and hike the trail with mom, dad, and grandma. To my surprise, she did quite well. The hike was semi steep but not strenuous. It took us an hour in a half round trip. Hidden Canyon was the perfect hike for our family.

February is mine and Kody's favorite month to hike Zion. It is beautiful because there is snow on the red rock and waterfalls everywhere you look. It is also the perfect temperature. In some areas I could wear a tank top, but as we gained elevation I needed a jacket.

Kody, Ellie and I love Zion National Park. It is only 30 minutes from our house, so we try and take full advantage of the beautiful park.

I wore my favorite leggings to Zion. Aren't they adorable?! I seriously love them! I wear these around the house, to crossfit and hiking. Basically, I have a hard time taking them off. They are extremely comfortable and I am obsessed with the color. This workout top is also a favorite. I wore the top to crossfit on Friday and received so many compliments.

Brows on Fleek!

Before and After

Hello! I hope this post finds you well!

Today’s post is all about my experience with microblading.

Friends and family members had done the microblading procedure. I knew I wanted it done, however, I was nervous about the pain and trusting someone to take a blade to my face!

Kristi Christensen has been a professional makeup artist for years. I personally seen her transform girls with a stroke of a brush. When I found out she became a certified Microblading Artist, I knew I found my girl!

I arrived at Kristi’s (adorable) home with nerves and excitement. She was just as ecstatic to give me fresh new brows.

Kristi sat me down and started the microblading process. She measured my face and drew on eyebrows with a pencil. I was very impressed with how detail oriented she was. She looked at my face shape to determine what size/shape of brow would look best on me. Kristi took time and made sure my brows were perfect before she started using the blade.

As she started the blade process, I was prepared for torture. To my surprise, the pain was not awful. Don’t get me wrong, I had my jaw and hands clenched, but the pain was not unbearable. The first round of blade went fast (thankfully;) She then put numbing cream on my brows, and let the cream set for a few minutes. I was shocked as she started the 2nd blade session because I could not feel anything. The numbing cream worked! It was wonderful.

As I looked in the mirror at my new brows, I could not believe the change it made to my face! I was astonished with the transformation. I was so happy and have been on a brow high since.

Many people ask if my brows are sore, honestly, they are not. I've been surprised.

My brows are currently in a healing/scabbing phase, so the color is one or two shades darker than what they will be when they heal. Kristi advised me to avoid getting my brows wet. If the brows get water on them they turn grey. Besides that, they have been very low maintenance.

I have a 6 week touch up in February and then my brows will be flawless for an entire year!

If you want your brows done, but scared like I was, contact Kristi Christensen phone number: 435-512-4082 She is the best of the best. Literally, I cannot say enough about her talent! She is an artist and will make your brows look amazing. Check out her Instagram page and see for yourself:)

Feel free to ask me questions about the process. I would love to answer any questions or concerns that you have!

Thanks for following.

Xoxo,
