Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was once again a success! It was filled with fishing, egg hunts and of course yummy food.

Kody and I were lucky to have both our families come to St. George, to celebrate Easter.

Saturday morning everyone gathered in St. George. We kicked off the weekend by heading to Sandhallow Reservoir to fish and enjoy the sunshine. We had a blast trying to catch fish and playing on the beach.

After the day at the lake we headed to our condo, it was time for the annual easter egg hunts!

We started off the night with the grandchildrens egg hunt. My mom was clever and assigned each grandchild an egg color. All of the cousins had fun looking for their color. Trackan and Remmie (twins) were so cute to help Benson and Ellie find their eggs.

After the kids were done finding eggs, it was time for the adults... Game on! My mom handed out the flashlights and explained the rules. As soon as the rules were explained, the elbows came out. We all raced to find the eggs.

My mom and dad put "numbers" and "bonus" pieces of paper in each egg. If we opened an egg with a "bonus" we were able to run to the prize table and pick an item, if it was a number we kept had to keep it until the end. All the couples were allowed one golden egg.

After the eggs were found, we gathered together. My mom randomly selected numbers, if you had the matching number you won $1-$50!

Then it was time to find out who found the golden egg with a $100 bill.. For the first time in the history of the Lemon egg hunt, Katie and Kalan did not win! Kody and I did! We were so excited!

Everyone left richer, but my little sister Kenlie was the overall winner.

The Easter egg hunt is a little out of control, but it is a tradition that everyone looks forward to.

Easter weekend ended by wearing our new dresses to church and remembering the true meaning of Easter.

The weekend was a success.  Our family had fun being together, fishing, hunting for eggs and eating yummy food. Easter 2016 was an Easter we will never forget!

What did you do this weekend? Do you have any fun Easter traditions? If so, comment below! I would love to hear from you!

(I dropped Ellie's heart shaped sunglasses and they broke:( Luckily, Grandma Pam bought her another pair for Easter! That is why there are pictures of two different sunglasses... Just in case you were wondering:)

My Easter outfit was super casual. I wanted to wear something comfortable and cute. So, I went to my asymmetric tee, baby blue cap, Ray-Bans, and of course my converse.
